Wordpress LScache Plugin: How to control and limit the number of image files created

Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02
Hi, I have a quick question, please. I have noticed that for each single image LiteSpeed Cache creates 36 image files of different sizes (24 jpeg and 12 webp). How can I control it and limit the number of image files created for a single image? Thanks. Hi, Sorry this can not be controlled it just checks how many original images there is e.g when you upload image to WP , WP resizes it to several thumbnails in different size , lets say , it will be 1 original + 6 resized then when you enable image optimization + webp version it will be : 1 original + 6 resized images re-named into backups 1 + 6 -> optimized images 1+ 6 -> webp images so at maxim total will be 1+6 (backup) + 1+6 (optmed) + 1+6 (webp images) , 21 images you can either disable webp , or remove the original backup to reduce the number but if you dont have disk space issue , Id suggest you just leave it as it is Best regards, I see now. Thank you!
