Wordpress LScache Plugin: Guest mode breaks mobile menu and site logo
Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02 When Guest mode is active, the menu in mobile view is not working. Also, the site logo is not loading. When we check inside inspect element we see a 404 request for the file guest-vary.php (we havent changed the path of this file in server and its still located inside /wp-content/plugins/litespeed-cache/ folder. Activated combine Js and combine CSS but its not combining any files. The only uncommon thing we did with the site is activating static cdn with cloudflare and dynamic cdn with quic.cloud using this tutorial: https://quic.cloud/docs/cdn/dns/using-cloudflare-with-quic-cloud-cdn/ Also generated report with report no as: IWEXQZBM Please guide. Hi, its not 404 , its 403 , 403 means something blocked this request, typically mod_security or any other security measure you have in place, please try turn them off first and also please check the server log , it will tell the reason for 403 error Best regards, Sorry, I mistyped as 404, it indeed is 403 and I tried disabling all the plugins except litespeed to find the cause but didnt help. No external security measure I have in place. I am hosted on a shared environment and cannot check the server log in detail. I will still debug the same and check if I find any help. I have furthermore disable modsecurity, cleared all cache from litespeed>toolbox>empty entire cache along with clearing cloudflare cdn cache. Still the issue surfaces. The only plugin currently active is Litespeed cache. Deleted all the mod_header codes from htaccess and kept only the Litespeed generated codes along with wordpress default code in htaccess file. I have tried various steps to find the reason for this 403 error but unable to figure it out. I have disabled all plugins except Litespeed cache plugin. Erased all custom codes from htaccess and kept only LS cache generated codes and default wordpress codes inside it. Disabled CDN (cloudflare and Quic cloud) Disabled all page optimization options under LScache plugin. Currently activated only guest mode and tried to access the site and it generates this 403 error for guest-vary. If we deactivate guest mode option, the error is obviously not there. So, I guess 99% its some bug with the plugin itself as there is nothing blocking as far as I see. I have also disabled Mod_security entirely. Please check with this latest report and ignore the previous reports: JGOUYHXT (Report date: 09/07/2021 07:56:21) Hi, then please check server log , the server will always log the reason for 403 error Best regards, This kind of log is only generating. Any other way? Should I contact hosting provider to provide the said log files? Hi, yes, please contact your hosting provider and kindly ask them to check the reason for that 403 error Best regards,
