Wordpress LScache Plugin: Google doesnt see any improvement
Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02 Report # CNDRGQEA Firstly WebP images. I can see that they are there in the Media Library but it doesnt appear that they are being used on the site. Google PageSpeed Insights are still reading them as .jpgs. Also Im still getting Reduce initial server response time flags. Mobile speed hasnt improved. Ive tried reading everything I can to try to work this out but this is all a bit new for. Thank you for any help. The page I need help with: http://waitomocavesmuseum.nz Hi, yes, because you are running on Apache , the cache wont work on Apache , therefore you will get reduce initial response time , you may need to enable QUIC cloud CND in order to get the caching for webp , please check this page Best regards, Hi @CacheCrawler I have got quic cloud, it was one of the first things I did as I saw it was highly reccommended. I have also read that page and worked through everything on it before posting here. As I said, the WebP files can be seen in the media library but when I check them on the site via the inspector it just says they are .jpg. Google still tells me to replace them with WebP images though. Hi, but I dont see QC CDN is activated on your domain in Media page it shows webp does not mean every single image of that group will have webp when you uplaod image to WP , it generates few more re-sized images so you will have an image group e.g. test.jpg test-100x100.jpg test-200x200.jpg test-400x400.jpg in such case, as example , lets say 200?200 and 400?400 have webp , while other 2 dont , it will still light up the webp indicator you need to check via file system to make sure webp file is there or you can simply attach .webp , e.g. https://www.waitomocavesmuseum.nz/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/Carriage-waiting-at-Hangatiki-Station-webslider.jpg to https://www.waitomocavesmuseum.nz/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/Carriage-waiting-at-Hangatiki-Station-webslider.jpg.webp to verify its existance Best regards, Hi, Im going to mark this topic Resolved , due to lack of activity. If you still need help, please feel free to re-open it. When re-open it, please also change the topic status to not solved Best regards,
