Wordpress LScache Plugin: Flash of Unstyled Content

Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02
Hi, I thought I would try enabling the Load CSS Asynchronously option again to see if the latest version of the plugin had resolved the Flash of Unstyled Content issue in Firefox. Please refer to my previous post about this: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/flash-of-unstyled-content-7/ Ive tried it with Generate Critical CSS ON and OFF and also with Generate Critical CSS In Background ON and OFF, but I still see the FOUC in the latest version of Firefox but not in Chrome or EDGE. I would really like to have this option enabled as it will improve my pagespeed score and possibly resolve some google mobile-friendly inconsistent test results. However, for the moment Ive had to disable it again. Hi, Since you mention it works in Chrome / Edge, but FOUC on FF , does FF and Chrome have different style ? Best regards, If you mean have I setup browser specific CSS then no I havent. After doing some more testing it appears turning Generate Critical CSS In Background to off does stop the FOUC issue in Firefox. However, I believe it would be more efficient to have it turned on. I understand when its on it gets added to a cron job, but how long should it take to get generated?. Ive had it turned on for several minutes now and looking at the source code still shows: / null / I also tried doing a Purge All ? LSCache. Hi @andyt1980, we found theres CSS Syntax Error on your CSS file /wp-content/themes/outbiking/style.css please check. Hi, I believe Ive fixed any CSS errors now, tried a Purge All but still not seeing CCSS generated. Many thanks to qtwrk for resolving this in the Litespeed Slack Channel.
