Wordpress LScache Plugin: Exclude widget from cache

Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02
Hi there, I am using a time widget to show open and close hours. https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-opening-hours/ I do understand the ESI, but as this widget is placed with pagebuilder elementor, I have no idea how that works, as the configuration don?t appear. How can I exclude the widgets from the cache? thanks in advance This topic was modified 3 years, 7 months ago by itism64. Hi @itism64, I just checked the Opening Hours widget could be config on Appearance > Widgets page, you can set Widget Cache TTL to 0 for excluding that widget from cache. Hi @stanleylitespeed Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, I know that but as explained, I use the widget in elementor and not as widget as you mention. https://prnt.sc/ncci08 Cheers We found Elementor has the widget setting option, please take a look: https://imgur.com/a/egSlXnS hi @stanleylitespeed O wow, long live the scroll mouse but I just checked to activate public TTL 0 > Update and save. If I check it is going back to the original configuration. So looks like it is not updated. Cheers Thanks for reporting the problem. We are checking on it now will let you know if have any update. Hi @stanleylitespeed Any update about this Is there any workaround As I use the plugin now on 4 sites and clear catch manually now to show the open and close Is it possible to clean cache every hour 11.01 12.01 cheers Hi @itism64, we still checking the Elementors bug. For the cache update, you can use LiteSpeed > Settingn > Crawler to update the cache by setting Crawl Interval to 43200 (Half Day). More details please refer to https://www.litespeedtech.com/support/wiki/doku.php/litespeed_wiki:cache:lscwp:configuration:crawler Hi @stanleylitespeed Any news about this. Just updated the plugin but still not able to save. Cheers Hi, Were you adding widget in elementor like my screenshot ? https://i.imgur.com/1T6H36s.jpg Best regards, Hi @CacheCrawler No most of the time I place it the header http://prntscr.com/nofoyk or show in the footer with some extra info http://prntscr.com/nofqp7 http://prntscr.com/noftrf cheers Hi, It doesnt matter when you added. in this screenshot. https://prnt.sc/noftrf the left-side , the 2rd options from bottom , it shows LiteSpeed Cache: Enable ESI: Public, Private, Disabled. this is the part you need to modify. (TTL = 0 means no cache for that widget at all , but you can try like 3600 seconds or so.) and please make sure you have enabled ESI in ESI tab. Best regards, Ruikai. hi @CacheCrawler Yes, I know but the problem is that it is not saved if changed http://prntscr.com/nog07g http://prntscr.com/nog0rx Cheers Hi, OK , I see. Will check on it. I also saw that when change the hours in opening hour plugin , it will automatically purge the related page , does this function not work for you ? Meanwhile , you can use the shortcode for opening hour and elementor builder, just add the esi at beginning and ttl= 0 at end , like this example [esi op-overview set_id= 47 title= my-title ttl= 0 ] Best regards, @CacheCrawler Thanks for checking. I have tried the shortcode with this plugin but then the whole site crashed if used. Hope you find a solution for it cheers Hi, I actually did check the shortcode way before I replied you , and it works on my test site. Could you please submit a ticket here ? we will investigate it deeper. Best regards,
