ESI Modern Events Calendar Not Working

Wordpress LScache Plugin: ESI Modern Events Calendar Not Working

Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02
Hi, I am trying to enable ESI on my WordPress site using Modern Events Calendar (MEC) plugin. This plugin is useful for displaying upcoming events on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. However, it needs to be uncached or with max 12 hour TTL to avoid offering stale or ended events. When I tried to change the shortcode from for example [MEC id= 12 ] to [esi MEC id= 12 ], the plugin fails to work on the page. I can provide the debug log, but nothing obvious that I can see preventing it from working. I also tried using the LiteSpeed Cache API to try and uncache the code contained under the plugins render.php, but this doesnt uncache the events it pulls from the database, meaning the events are out of date. Please advise any other steps to fix this. Thanks! Hi, please provide the report number , you can get it in toolbox -> report -> click send to LiteSpeed Best regards, Report number: JUCBVBHZ Report date: 10/02/2021 21:38:56 Let me know anything else you need as its an urgent issue This is my test , seems working with ESI shortcode result : what error did you see ? or how does it not working ? doesnt display anything at all or something ? Best regards, Thanks for looking into this. When I use the full calendar view shortcode it fails to display altogether. When I use list view, it shows only the month but all events are blank: If you try to click on any arrows to change month or week in list view, it fails to work. No errors shown in browsers Error Console. My shortcode is the same as yours, i.e. [esi MEC id= 12 ttl= 0 ] so not sure what is causing this issue. I can provide wp-admin access if you let me know how to do so. Please let me know. please create a ticket by mail to support at litespeedtech.com with reference link to this topic we will investigate it further Thanks, created Ticket #661275
