Wordpress LScache Plugin: Dropdown menu shows The results could not be loaded when cache enabled

Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02
I have a problem with the main search menu in the middle of the homepage of my website. The categories drop down menu shows a message stating that the results could not be loaded whenever the Litespeed cache is enabled. As soon as I disable the cache, or exclude all URIs in the exclusions setting, the problem disappears, and the categories display as they should. Ive tried several combinations of settings and nothing seems to work. If I am understanding my console correctly, it looks like an Ajax call is returning a 403 error. However, I dont know enough to state this emphatically. This topic was modified 2 years, 2 months ago by marshallhinsley. This topic was modified 2 years, 2 months ago by marshallhinsley. The page I need help with: https://waxahachie360.com Hi, exclude all URIs in the exclusions setting there are several excluding list, may I know which one ? since you mentioned 403 , I feel this could be a nonce issue , do you happen to know the nonce name that search box is using? Best regards, Thank you for your response. The exclusions settings that I am referring to is in Litespeed > Cache > Excludes under Do Not Cache URIs. If I simply put a / in the URIs to exclude, the problem is corrected. I do not know much about nonces. The Chrome console shows this whenever the dropdown menu is accessed and the cache is fully enabled. Hi, Could you please contact that plugin or theme author who made that search menu , and kindly ask them what is the nonce name they are using for search ? Best regards, I will do so. Thank you. Hi, Once you got the nonce name , please try go to Cache -> ESI -> enable ESI , and then add that nonce name into ESI nonce list , save , purge all , then try again , see if it works Best regards, Thank you. I will. Im currently waiting for a reply from a users group to find out if anyone knows the name of the nonce. Hi, Just follow up , how thing goes ? Bet regards, I have the nonce names, and I enabled ESI with the nonces added to the list. The problem still occurred. If I purge the cache, I get one time that the dropdown works. But, when I return to the page, it fails on all subsequent visits. Hi, Please try make it nonce_name private purge all , and see how it goes Best regards, This change has not worked. Hi, OK , please create a ticket here , we will investigate it further Best regards, I submitted the ticket, but now I cant log in to see the ticket. I found the ticket #. Its #635077
