Wordpress LScache Plugin: Domain in Cloudflare settings keeps changing after saving
Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02 Hi guys Under LSCache -> Cloudflare API settings theres a field for domain . The description says: You can just type part of the domain. Once saved, it will be matched with the current list and completed automatically. My site is on a subdomain (its a regular site, not multisite). Lets call it helloworld.mydomain.com. When I enter that in the domain field and click save, the field changes to an incorrect value (myotherdomain.com). I also have a helloworld.myotherdomain.com subdomain- is that confusing the plugin? Can you clarify whether the purpose of that field is to get the zone id? If so, I guess I should be using the root domain and not the subdomain? Hi @menathor, please put the root domain (myotherdomain.com) on Cloudflare API > Domain and you are correct that if putting with subdomain name might confusing the plugin on the URL search. Thanks Stanley. This works, but if I do a full purge Im guessing it will purge the cache for the entire domain? I have many different servers on subdomains of that domain, so that would mean the cache is be purged for all of them right? Is there any way you could change the behaviour of this to allow subdomains to be entered and then only purge that subdomain? Cloudflare API Purge Files by Cache-Tags or Host just support Enterprise user, so in general, our plugin can not just purge a subdomain. May I know are you using the Enterprise version of Cloudflare and wish to have this function? Hey Stanley. Im using the free plan. I thought a wildcard purge might be possible eg. https://helloworld.mydomain.com/ but I can see from the CF forums that wildcards arent supported. Does that mean the only 2 purge options with Cloudflares free plan are either a specific URL or the entire zone? Theres no workaround for purging a group of related URLs at once? Yes, you can check on their API doc, theres a method that purge by tag but before purging you need to add a tag with on that URL. You can try on it with some custom PHP script to see does it works. Since tags are an enterprise-only feature Ill have to make do with the default settings Does your plugin ever do a full Cloudflare domain/zone purge automatically on certain events (eg. when the plugin is updated)? Or do full zone purges only happen when the Purge Everything button is clicked? Id like to minimise how often automatic full zone purges happen.
