Defer jquery.js while Exclude JQuery is ON

Wordpress LScache Plugin: Defer jquery.js while Exclude JQuery is ON

Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02
Hello, I have combine JS turned ON, but I want to exclude only the jquery.js file from being combined and hence kept the Exclude jQuery setting turned ON. However, this also overrides the defer JS setting for the jQuery.js file, and its not deferred while loading an actual page. Is there any way to defer only the jQuery.js file WITHOUT minifying and combining it with the all other javascript files? So far, I found only a JS Deferred Excludes option under Tuning, but Im perhaps looking for the opposite functionality. Thanks in advance! The page I need help with: http://N/A No. The reason we have that exclude jquery option is if you defer jq, you may get bunch of errors due to lack of jq when other js is parsing.
