Wordpress LScache Plugin: Connection Test: Failed when Object Cache Set to Redis
Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02 Hello, Im using WordPress 5.5 with LSCWP 3.3.1 Ive already enabled Memcached and Redis extensions in cPanel. Memcached is working fine, but when set to Redis it gives Failed error. Heres a screenshot of the setting I used: https://share.getcloudapp.com/WnuJB1yD And heres from PHPINFO: https://share.getcloudapp.com/Z4uk6vAz Also, my site is comprised mostly of articles and images. How much impact would object cache have? Hi, Do you have Redis daemon process running ? Best regards, I have no idea. Sorry, Im not tech savvy. Do I need SSH access to do all these things? Also, could you answer this: Also, my site is comprised mostly of articles and images. How much impact would object cache have? Hi, Yes, you will need SSH with root access to do this. but if you are on shared hosting , then this is probably wont be possible. I cant say, depends on your site set up , and I couldnt even guesstimate it. but once the page is cached , object cache wont do much good , it only shows benefits when cache miss. Best regards, Im on a Shared hosting, so I dont have SSH. Is there another way to check this? BTW, heres the log that was created. I created a file with this code and tried accessing it: Im getting a blank screen. Hi, that means you dont have redis process on this , there is no solution to this unless you have SSH access with root privileges , or contact your provider and if they are willing to get one for you.
