Wordpress LScache Plugin: CSS Combine + External and Inline ruining layout
Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02 Report number: AYTJJDSW Hello, Im having an issue where toggling CSS Combine and CSS Combine External and Inline on ruins the site design. I saw other people have the same issue and followed the advice there and am running the dev version in Toolbox, but doesnt seem to fix the problem. Running debug mode gets rid of the issue. The linked page is a staging site with these settings applied. The live site (same link as staging without staging at the end) is running without CSS Combine and CSS Combine External and Inline, but the issue with that is it wont load at all on my mobile without CSS Combine and CSS Combine External and Inline turned on! The page I need help with: https://taliha.co.uk/staging/ Hi, but the issue with that is it wont load at all on my mobile without CSS Combine and CSS Combine External and Inline turned on! does it load all CSS when plugin OFF ? if you only enable Combine , but not combine ext/inl , how does that go ? Best regards, Hi qtwrk, Yes, everything works fine when the LS Cache plugin is off. If I only enable combine but not combine ext/inl I still get the same issue with everything out of order. Hi, okay , so combine ON + combine ext/inl OFF = issue ? if that so , you need to locate which file(s) to exclude you can first , try use wp-content wp-includes in the CSS excluding list , save , purge all , check again if this works , then remove wp-includes from list , save and purge if this still works , then means the file is inside of wp-content most of its content are located in theme and plugins , then next step you can use wp-content/plugins wp-content/themes in exlcude list , save , purge all , check again repeat the process to keep narrow down the directory until you pin down the ones that cause the issue Best regards, Hi, It hasnt worked completely. Most of the images and layout features are in their place now and sized correctly, but the nav bar colour has turned a different colour, the footer background is supposed to be white but its turned black, and when I click on the menu, the links dont show up (looks like theyve turned white because I can click on where theyre supposed to be and navigate elsewhere). are you sure the issue is from combine ? please try export your current setting then reset to default setting with only CSS combine enabled, see how it goes Looks like CSS Combine ON Combine Ext+In OFF and CSS Exclude: wp-content wp-includes Fixes the issues. wp-content wp-includes Removed wp-includes from above and no issues. So changed the CSS Excludes box to say: wp-content/plugins wp-content/themes Now site layout is messy again. what if wp-content/plugins wp-content/themes wp-includes or wp-content/themes wp-includes or wp-content/plugins wp-includes Still seeing the issue with all of those Im afraid. huh ? please confirm if wp-content wp-includes works , but wp-content/plugins wp-content/themes wp-includes doesnt work ? you did purge all after you change the setting , and keep combine ext/inl to OFF, right ? Sorry! Hopefully this is clearer: wp-content wp-includes This works. Everything on the site looks perfect and as it should with the above. Loading fine on mobile too. wp-content/plugins wp-content/themes wp-includes This doesnt work. Everything is messed up again when I use this. Yes, did purge after changing settings and combine ext/inl has been OFF. Hi, okay , then this has become a very interesting and weird issue please create a ticket in our system we will investigate it further Best regards, Hi qtwrk, Thank you for all your help so far!
