Wordpress LScache Plugin: Admin Bar in Frontend not visible with ESI enable
Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02 Hi there, since version v4.4 the WordPress (5.8.1) admin bar is no longer visible in the frontend when ESI is activated. Instead of the admin bar only a white bar is shown. The function Cache Admin Bar on or off also brings no change. If I deactivate ESI, the Admin Bar is visible again. Since I use a nonce with ESI, it is not optimal for me to disable ESI. I enabled logging for testing but I cant see anything noticeable. Is there any known behavior like this? Best regards Hi, please provide the report number , you can get it in toolbox -> report -> click send to LiteSpeed Best regards, Hi, Report number: XMNQZGIG Best regards Hi, first I thought its theme incompatibility , but I set up a site with GeneratePress on WP 5.8.1 + LSCWP 4.4 , but it seems working do you have any plugins that add item in admin bar in frontend ? Best regards, Hi, thanks for testing! I also tested a bit now and it looks like the plugin Ad Inserter is causing this problem. The plugin puts an icon in the admin bar. If I disable this in the settings of the Ad Inserter it doesnt help either. I have also installed this plugin on another website for testing and there I can reproduce the problem. As soon as the plugin is activated, the admin bar is no longer visible in the frontend. Any ideas how we can get the problem under control? Best regards Hi, I think I found it. Ad Inserter has a setting Disable caching for logged in administrators which is enabled by default. If I disable this in combination with disabling debug functions in admin toolbar, it works again. I hope it will stay like this. Best regards
