Wordpress LScache Plugin: 3 question: Clear Cache at Subsite. Diffrent of Force Cache URIs. And ESI
Last Updated on: Wed, 15 Apr 2026 00:00:02 Hi LiteSpeed, I have 3 question, hope to help. 1. Clear Cache at Subsite in Multisite I have installed LS Cache at Multisite. And Turn on Ls Cache at Multisite If I Clear cache at a Subsite, is it clear cache at other site in Network? 2. Diffrent of Force Cache URIs? I know LS cache have 2 main Cache: Private and Public Cache. I have read the document, used it for several years, so I understand what they mean to apply properly to my website. Thank you But, I see Ls Cache have 3 Option: Private Cache, Force Cache URIs and Force Public Cache URIs. What is Force Cache URIs? Is it different with Force public cache URIS? I need to know, to use it right. 3. Evaluate ideas using ESI I have a plan: ? I want config: Public cache each page in website, is Public Cache. ? Main content: is private cache, use ESI (I use shortcode to create main content) ? Header, Footer, Widger: no have personalized content. What do you think of my idea? Is it possible? Does it create a lot of server overhead? As the creator of ESI, have you thought of this case, what would you recommend me to do? I cant test ESI on my Server, because ESI is Premium Feature. My server have 16GB Ram, so I cant use Free Starter Package of Litespeed. I want use Web Host Professional right away, so I dont have to change much Thanks you very much for your help T? Force Cache has nothing to do with private or public cache. Force cache means if you have cache disabled for a group of URIs you can force caching one or more URIs within this group although these URIs are marked as no-cache. What do you think of my idea? Is it possible? Possible? Yes, but why? If main content contains no private content there is no need for ESI. ESI is a mighty function of LSWS (not OLS), but it slows down pagespeed and costs load. Hi serpentdriver Thanks for quick reply. I think I have an idea to test more thoroughly for my web. I will think carefully before each question 1. Can you help me at first question? 2. By the way, I want to ask: so what is ESI born for, if it slows down the page load speed? Im sorry to ask that, because I dont understand (Yes, main content have many private content. It is Social) 2. By the way, I want to ask: so what is ESI born for, if it slows down the page load speed? Im sorry to ask that, because I dont understand (Yes, main content have many private content. It is Social) Simplified Description what ESI is good for: Lets say your website is a white sheet of paper. Everything on this sheet is public. Punch a whole in this sheet, now this whole is a ESI whole and contains private content like a shopping cart. With ESI you can define different cache rules for public content and for this ESI whole with private content and different cache lifetime. As already said, ESI is mighty, but it costs load and the bigger the whole the more load it costs. In your case but depending on what exactly you mean with social content, it may destroy all advantages of LScache. So handle with care! 1. Clear Cache at Subsite in Multisite Sorry, have no idea about multisite and you have to wait for plugin support. [UPDATE] I think you have wrong understanding what private content is?.. Private is, if each user sees his own content and all other cant see this content. For example, a shopping cart is private. Perfect, I confirm: Clear Cache in Subsite, no affect Cache in other Site. I have a bit change in subsite A. To testing, I clear cache in subsite B, so subsite A is still cache. Good.
