What is Cache Mode Feature?
The Cache Mode feature is an undocumented LiteSpeed feature that not only speeds up crawling. It also allows to refresh the cache of a URL if the cache is not expired. If the cache is not expired the cache is refreshed by the set TTL. If the cache is expired it is normally warmed up. The cache inventory shows whether the cache was refreshed or warmed up normally. The status of the cache is displayed in the "Cache Status" column. "hit" means that the cache had expired, "refreshed" means that the cache had not yet expired and was refreshed by warmup crawling.
Please note that the Cache Mode feature is not automatically enabled in the LiteSpeed web server settings. If you see in the Kitt Cache Crawler settings that this feature is not available on this host, this feature must first be activated. If you do not have access to this LSWS setting, please contact your hosting provider and refer to the associated LiteSpeed web server documentation.
